With Victoria’s scenic natural beauty and mild year-round climate, we are a popular destination for golfers. If this is your first time golfing in Victoria, I recommend a visit to our friends at Golf Central. They have connections to all the Victoria golf courses, set you up with clubs and carts, and even provide transportation if needed.
From Chateau Victoria, the closest course is the Victoria Golf Club. This is a member’s only club, so it is difficult to get on. Having said that, this course is breathtaking! It has 18 character holes right on the water with stunning views.
If you’re looking for a good all around public course, Olympic View Golf Club is great! It’s a par 72, 18-hole championship course located only 20 minutes from the hotel on the southernmost tip of Vancouver Island. The views of the Olympic Mountains are amazing and the course itself is challenging.
Prospect Lake Golf Course is a great 9-hole casual and fun course. Located on the shores of Prospect Lake, golfers can catch glimpses of eagles, deer and heron while enjoying the winding fairways. This course is 25 minutes from Chateau Victoria with very reasonable rates.
If pitch and putt is what you’re looking for, the Ridge Course at Cordova Bay is the place to go. Enjoy spectacular views of Haro Strait and the San Juan Islands. Choose from a 9-hole par 3 course, an 18-hole grass putting course, or a short game practice facility.
