Craigdarroch has 39 rooms with lavish furnishings, woodwork, and stained glass windows throughout four floors. There’s also a massive staircase with 87 stairs that lead up to the tower. This is worth the climb because the view up there is breathtaking.

There are 1.75 acres of grounds around the Castle with paths, ponds, streams and meadows. Be sure to allow yourself some time to relax and enjoy a stroll.

Craigdarroch Castle is open 7 days a week, including statutory holidays for self-guided tours. Admission is $13.75 for adults, $12.75 for seniors, $5.00 for children 6-12, and free for children 5 and under.

Stayed in our downtown Victoria hotel in April 2013.

We stayed here for a week during the world curling and had a very pleasant stay. They have a shuttle that will take you most places that you want to go and we never had to wait more than a few minutes. The hotel is within walking distance to the inner harbour and downtown shopping, so we never needed to use a taxi.we got a great rate for a junior suite , which was really a one bedroom with a couch that we made out into a bed. small kitchen that had everything we needed except a decent sized coffee pot. The coffee pot would be our only small complaint ,there is a small 3 cup pot in the room. staying for 8 nights and having three of us it would have been good to have a larger pot.We can’t say enough about the staff . From the front desk to the people working the lounge they all were very helpful , but the best thing was that they all had a smile for us and were very friendly. Thanks for a great stay Chateau Victoria we hope to be back !!!!
