Chateau Victoria Helps Usher in the Christmas Season

Posted in Events By mark

We occupied our tent by the big Christmas tree in Centennial Square again this year in the spirit of giving back to our community.  700 Victorians popped into our tent to enjoy a fresh cup of hot mulled cider as they celebrated the Downtown Business Association’s annual Light Up event,  before the start of the Santa Clause parade.  Just one week earlier, the square  was the site of “Occupy Victoria” so we felt it was important to lighten the mood by wearing special shirts to mark the occasion.  Thankfully, Victorian’s appreciated our cheeky humor.

Ground level creativity

On November 22, 2011, our housekeeping team brought their talents as 9 Indian Chefs to work and impressed our chef by producing over 530 Samosas in 6 hours.  The tasty Vegetarian morsels will be sold to fellow colleagues and their families with all funds going to the Mustard Seed Food Bank.   As an employee, I can’t wait to get a hold of my order.  They are truly a treat and a great way for our housekeeping team to give back to their community.

The result of some hard work

Pancakes with Santa ~ Sold Out Event!

Experience the true Christmas spirit by helping the local families of Victoria!

Every year we’ve been holding Pancakes with Santa Fundraiser, a great way to help families in Victoria where 100% of the proceeds go to the Times Colonist Christmas Fund.

You can enjoy breakfast cooked by Executive Chef, Garrett Schack and served by the management and employees of the Chateau Victoria Team. Unfortunately the popular event has been sold out for quiet some time now. Keep an eye out in the Times Colonist next year to get your tickets.

See you next year!

Welcome to a new way to communicate with you

Posted in About Us By mark

We are very proud to introduce our new website for the Chateau Victoria.  It joins two other new sites that we launched this fall. Clive’s Classic Lounge and Vista 18, our roof top restaurant and martini bar.   Our goal is to add to the great personal contact we already have with our guests.  Sure, the site is built to sell our bedrooms, suites and all the services we offer.  However, many of our guests look to us as the people who can help make the most of their stay.  Our goal is to become your local expert in all things Victoria and perhaps a little entertaining.   There is so much information at your fingers it is hard to figure out what to do, so we will try our best to help you.  At the moment, the site is mostly about us, but as we hear from you and learn from you, the content will become much more balanced.

So let the dialog begin.   Hit that comment button on this blog or the contact button at the bottom of the page and tell us what you think of our website.  Be sure to note what you would like us to add.  we will do our best to continue to build, what we hope will be,  a great point of reference in the months and years to come.  Your local experts.

We look forward to connecting with you.
