Whether you’re an art fan or simply appreciate a creative work of art, the Victoria International Chalk Art Festival is the event to see this coming weekend. Stretching from Government Street to Centennial Square, enjoy art from some of the world’s finest 2D and 3D chalk artists as they fill the street with their beautiful and unique creations. It’s a fun festival that’s great for the whole family!

This free event includes a music stage, food village, kid’s chalkers area and more including a 20 X 20 foot painting in the Bay Centre’s lower level. Artists come from all over the world to take part in this unique event. This year’s artists include Leon Keer, Dutch pop-surrealist and world’s leading artist in 3D street art and Ian Morris, specialist in Renaissance masterpieces and creator of this year’s program cover honouring the First Nations of British Columbia. What a treat!

The Chalk Art Festival is in its second year. After last year’s event they had so much overwhelming community support that this year they expanded with more artists and locations for your enjoyment. They are expecting as many as 30,000 spectators!

After you enjoy all there is to see and do at the Victoria International Chalk Art Festival, make your way down to Chateau Victoria for a delicious meal in our fabulous rooftop restaurant, Vista 18, and unwind for the evening in one of our comfortable rooms.
