Victoria International Cycling Festival move into high gear

What an exciting time to be in downtown Victoria.  Everywhere you look there is something going on and most of it is on two wheels.  Strap on the helmet and head on over.  While you are here,  check out the Victoria Jazz Festival too.   I love this place!

Chateau Victoria is proud to support Tour de Victoria 2012

The Ryder Hesjedal’s Tour de Victoria is a supported mass participation cycling event, catering to all fitness levels by offering three distances: the League 140km for the enthusiast, the Island Savings 100km for the entry-level rider and a 50km ride for those who want to experience cycling for the first time!

Why Ryder Hesjedals Tour de Victoria?

Back in August of 2010, Ryder Hesjedal and retired professional cyclist and former Olympian, Seamus McGrath hatched the idea of the Tour de Victoria to showcase the incredible cycling routes that Vancouver Island has to offer. Both athletes spent years training together on the very same roads the Tour de Victoria’s  route  travels on.

Good luck to all the 1600 participants this year and may the people who slept at our hotel have that extra advantage of a good nights sleep before the race.
